Instead of moping around at home following her departure from Strictly Come Dancing , Jodie Kidd has been on horseback training at Hickstead for an upcoming head-to-head 'jump off' competition with her socialite friend Tara Palmer-Tomkinson.

Swapping dancing shoes for riding boots, Jodie, a keen horsewoman and polo player, displayed her competitive spirit once more, preparing for the Express Eventing Cup in Cardiff this Sunday. Luckily, the rigorous training for Strictly is said to have left her in great shape and ready to face a new challenge.

The model and TV presenter managed to pirouette her way into the 11th round of the BBC's popular competition, but lost out in Saturday night's show after a dance off against Britain's Next Top Model host Lisa Snowdon.

By the look of things, Jodie hasn't let her departure from the show get her down and saying of her experience: "It's been the most amazing journey, it's been brilliant."
