Zara Tindall was seen publicly for the first time since Wimbledon on Tuesday evening. The mother of three attended the opening festivities for the 2026 FEI World Championships at Allianz Park in Aachen, Germany, joining fellow royals Princess Amalia of the Netherlands and Queen Mary of Denmark.
Looking as resplendent as ever, the daughter of Princess Anne donned a sleek black jumpsuit by Frame. The sleeveless style featured a sash detail and wide lapels, and she added FINLAY 'Tavistock' sunglasses in 'Champagne.'
It was quite surprising to see the royal donning a black ensemble. Although it was expertly tailored in design and undoubtedly chic, the dark tone is synonymous with autumn and winter! This is somewhat of a rogue choice given the blistering hot temperatures the UK and Europe are experiencing right now.
There is a science behind what you choose to wear when the weather heats up, particularly when it comes to colours. Darker shades tend to absorb heat, which can make you feel hotter than normal. Tonal dressing is parallel to the changing seasons, too.
Darker shades evoke the autumnal leaves and the cosy feeling of the 'ber' months, which is why it can feel a little out of place in the summer.
Zara's stylish summer wardrobe
Zara, 45, was last spotted at Wimbledon in July. Watching all the action on Centre Court, she donned a sleek blue and white pinstriped outfit by one of her favourite designers, Rebecca Vallance.
Zara wore her sunglasses to watch the match and showcased her beautiful blonde bob with picture-perfect curls. Her rugby star husband also scrubbed up well in a white blazer and blue shirt, ensuring they co-ordinated perfectly.
The pair were rubbing shoulders with pop royalty Geri Horner courtside, who was there with her husband Christian Horner. At one point, Zara and the famous couple shared a joke and were pictured laughing away amid the tennis action.
A month earlier, in June, Zara stepped out at the opening day of Royal Ascot, choosing the Australian designer once again. A vision in a chic lilac wrapover dress with scallop trimming, she completed the look with a coordinating lilac boater hat by Juliette Botterill Millinery.
