CAMERON DIAZ TAKES JULIA ROBERTS' CROWN

Cameron Diaz's status as Hollywood's number one golden girl has been cemented with her newly-minted top spot as the highest paid actress ever.

The Guinness Book Of World Records announced this week that the Charlie's Angels star raked in a whopping $41 million in 2001 alone, knocking the previous record-holder for highest annual earnings, Julia Roberts, off her throne. Cameron's hefty paycheques for Angels, as well as Gangs Of New York, Vanilla Sky and cartoon hit Shrek, helped her bank account skyrocket.

And the pretty blonde looks set to top her own world record in the coming year. She's expected to earn $10-15 million to once again voice Princess Fiona in Shrek 2, and will reportedly bring in $25-30 million for Fun With Dick And Jane alongside Jim Carrey.

Oscar-winner Julia, however, still holds the world record for being the actress starring in the most films to make over $100 million at the box-office.

Cameron's male counterpart is Bruce Willis, who earned $70 million in 2000, scoring him the record for the highest annual earnings for an actor.

While Julia Roberts has been knocked off the top spot in that category, she still holds the record as the actress who's starred in the most $100 million-grossing films
