Nicole Kidman seems to have hit it off with her new pal, silver screen icon Lauren Bacall, in more ways than one.
Not only did the two make two films together this year – Cold Mountain and Dogville – now the Aussie actress seems to have taken a page from the legendary Key Largo star's style book.
Nic, famed for her eye-catching red carpet choices, opted for a Bacall-inspired tailored trousersuit and a retro hairstyle for a Toronto screening of The Human Stain this week. And what's more, Lauren herself was on hand for the showing, to lend her Oscar-winning friend her support.
But the Moulin Rouge star isn't the only celebrity looking to the past for their latest look. Pop singer Britney Spears, in a sexy photo shoot for Rolling Stone recreates Brigitte Bardot's sex kitten image, complete with tousled Sixties-style locks.
The French movie icon's provocative poses have been imitated by a number of modern-day pin-ups recently, including Kylie Minogue, who frolicked on a beach in Bardot-esque gear for an underwear campaign this summer.
