With a roster of boyfriends including perennial bachelor George Clooney, comic film star Jim Carrey and current on-off beau, rock star Jack White of the White Stripes, it seems like Renee Zellweger is never lacking in male attention.
However, the Bridget Jones star is apparently turning out to be as much a singleton as her on-screen alter ego – and confesses she might never find her Mr Right.
In an interview with the January issue of Reader's Digest, Renee admits she'd like a husband and family, but isn't too bothered if it doesn't happen. "I'd like to have a home, a place that feels permanently familiar," she said. "I'd like some semblance of family, but I don't have any prerequisites for happiness."
While many actresses – including Gwyneth Paltrow, Reese Witherspoon and Kate Winslet – have taken the plunge with marriage and babies, it seems the 34-year-old Cold Mountain star isn't in a hurry. "I never said, 'Okay, by this age I will have so many kids," she says. "I didn't think in my head about the perfect man, the perfect wedding and the perfect life we'd have.
"Like anything, when it's the right thing to do, I'm sure it will present itself. And if it doesn't, well then I don't expect to be less happy."
