Renowned character actor Harvey Keitel is best-known for his tough-guy roles in movies like Be Cool and Reservoir Dogs, but he revealed a rather more gentle side to his character when he was photographed out and about with his son Roman at the weekend.

The prolific actor, who has appeared in more than 100 movies over the course of a four-decade career, was snapped taking a walk through the streets of New York with his wife Daphna and their 18-month-old child.

Stylishly-dressed in a smart brown coat over black shirt and trousers, the 66-year-old was looking every bit as sharp as one of the cool customers he's played on the silver screen. And his little boy seems to have inherited the performer's taste, as he was looking equally slick with a trendy flat cap to match his woolly jacket.

Harvey and Daphna first met at the Toronto Film Festival in 2001 and were married just three weeks later in Israel. At the time many showbiz commentators expressed doubts over whether their union would stand the test of time, but five years later the relationship is still going strong.
