For most children, the idea of walking through the famous halls of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardy is the stuff of dreams. But for Malia and Sasha Obama it could soon be reality after Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe extended an invitation to the First family – to personally give the girls a tour of the film set.

Daniel, who soon begins filming the final instalment of the hit franchise, Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows, has said he would be "honoured" to show Malia, ten, and seven-year-old Sasha around in a public in an offer addressed to the president and his wife Michelle Obama.

And the invite is sure to be a big hit with all the members of the First family. The Obamas are known to be big fans of JK Rowling's boy wizard, with president Barack Obama reading all the books aloud to his two girls.

Daniel made his offer in a recent interview saying: "I’d like to take this opportunity to issue a public invitation to the Obamas that if their daughters would like a private tour of the Harry Potter set, I would be honoured to be their personal tour guide"
