Vanessa Feltz has been announced as the first celebrity to take part in the 2013 series of Strictly Come Dancing.
The TV personality and broadcaster created excitement on Radio 2's breakfast show on Thursday morning when she revealed that she would be putting her dancing shoes on for the popular BBC One show.
"Serious excitement now for #Vanessa on #SCD2013, announced by @BBCR2ZoeBall on @BBCRadio2! @bbcstrictly" tweeted the show, alongside an action shot of guest host Zoe Ball dancing with Vanessa.
Speaking to It Takes Two host Zoe Ball – who was filling in for Chris Evans – Vanessa revealed that she is already preparing for the show's elaborate costumes by glitzing up her wardrobe.
"I've got sequins on my lingerie," she said, "and I intend to wear nothing else until I get turfed out."
When asked which professional dancer she thought she would be paired with, the 51-year-old said she was hoping for somebody "virile... but patient."
Pasha Kovalev seemed to be her favourite, as she playfully decided to campaign to be partnered with the handsome youg Russian.
Fifteen of our favourite stars – eight ladies and seven gentlemen – will take part in the 11th series of Strictly to battle it out to be king or queen of the dance floor.
But who else is taking part in series 11? Everyone from Teri Hatcher to Abbey Clancy and Gladiators' star Jet have been linked to the smash BBC show.
The full line up of contestants will be announced on Monday 2 September, live on The One Show.
