The glamorous model, who is married to footballer Peter Crouch, turned heads as she made her debut in a floor length, white sequined gown that showed off her amazing physique.

Abbey and Aljaz gracefully waltzed around the dance floor to Kissing You by Des'ree in what was called the "dance of the night" by judge Len Goodman.

The other judges were equally as impressed, with Bruno Tonioli remarking that the pair had great chemistry and Craig Revel Horwood saying that he had a good feeling about the duo.

"You made some beautiful lines, really lovely stuff," added ballerina Darcy Bussell.

Viewers at home were just as impressed by the pair and were quick to congratulate Abbey with a flurry of messages and tweets.

"Bed time for me thank u all for your amazing messages feel sooo happy na nite up early for training tomorrow xx," wrote Abbey, after the show.

"Thank u all for your lovely messages wish I could tweet u all back sending kisses," she posted the following morning. The mother-of-one kept her fans updated ahead of the show, tweeting that she was "terrified" and "shaking the whole way through" the routine.

Her dance partner Aljaz had clearly given Abbey all the support she needed, as she dedicated a special post to him, writing, "Wow I'm stunned by tonight sooo weird. Just want to say thank u to the sensational @AljazSkorjanec u r the best love ya xx."

The dancing duo scored a winning 32 points out of 40.

Rachel Riley was also tasked with dancing the waltz, and gave a stunning performance with her professional partner Pasha Kovalev to Luther Vandross' When I Need You. The Countdown co-host and Pasha fell shortly behind Abbey and Aljaz with 27 points.

"It was a tad on the careful side," said Len. "You won't win Strictly being careful."
