Haunting new trailer for The Avengers: Age Of Ultron

The second, chilling, trailer for The Avengers: Age of Ultron has been released - and we get a better look at Ultron, the creation of Tony Stark, who turns on the heroes.

This 90-second trailer continues the use of a haunting instrumental version of I've Got No Strings, from the Disney film Pinocchio, and begins with a voiceover from Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony: "This vulnerable world needs something more powerful than any of us."

Tony, also known as Iron Man, had created Ultron, a self-aware Artificial Intelligence, as a way to jumpstart a peacekeeping process, but unfortunately for the Avengers, Ultron decides that the human race is the enemy.

With S.H.I.E.L.D destroyed and leader Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury now undercover following the events of Captain America: Winter Soldier, the Avengers are alone and embroiled with their own battles as well.

This new trailer shows more footage of what looks to be an almighty showdown between Iron Man and the Incredible Hulk (Mark Ruffalo).

James Spader will ply the genius evil robot Ultron, and joining the Avengers this time around are Elizabeth Olsen and Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Scarlet Witch and Quiksilver.

Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, and Chris Hemsworth all return as well.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron is released in the UK on April 24th.
