Happy birthday, George Clooney! As the Hollywood megastar celebrates turning 54, HELLO! Online takes a look at what the stars have in store for George, and you…
This is what George, who is a Taurus, can be expecting today:
Who is the outsider? Are you sure? We are all hard-wired to evaluate. We cannot help but judge our situations, the people around us, and even scenarios that have little or nothing to do with us. Silently, quietly, we create rankings, identify contenders and protect ourselves from the possibility of unwisely invested hope. Sometimes we get it right, and this only bolsters a false belief in our own powers of prescience. But if you feel pessimistic about your own chance of attaining a success today, you had best allow for this being wrong!
An actor, producer, director, and writer, George Clooney is one of the world’s most beloved stars. Born in 1961 in Kentucky, USA, George began acting in the late 1970s but it was in 1994 that George got his breakthrough, starring as Doctor Doug Ross in the American drama ER for five years and gaining several Emmy and Golden Globe nominations.
During his time on the show, George began to feature in several films but it was after the show that George really made his name. In 2001, he starred in the remake of the 1960s hit Ocean’s Eleven which continues to be George’s most successful film ever, earning $450million worldwide, and spawning two sequels.
George won his first Oscar in 2006 for his role in Syriana, and in the same year gained his first Best Director and Best Original Screenplay nominations for his work in Good Night and Good Luck.
Outside of his work as an actor George has also made a name for himself as a humanitarian. Involved with several charities, George was arrested in 2012 after protesting on behalf of Darfur outside the Sudanese embassy in the USA.
In 2013 George met lawyer Amal Alamuddin, and the pair's romance went from strength to strength leading to an engagement announcement in April 2014 - and less than five months later the two said "I do" in a stunning Venetian wedding.
In a world exclusive, HELLO! magazine presented the first photos of the eagerly anticipated wedding between the Hollywood heart-throb and his beautiful barrister bride, which included a roll call of famous guests including Matt Damon and his wife Luciana, Cindy Crawford and her husband Rande Gerber and actor John Krasinski and his wife Emily Blunt.
