Rain Dogs fans are saying the same thing about Daisy May Cooper's new show

Rain Dogs is a brand new comedy-drama starring Daisy May Cooper that has sparked plenty of reaction online. The eight-part series launched on HBO last month but fans in the UK are now getting the chance to tune in thanks to BBC iPlayer releasing the box set.

Viewers have wasted no time getting stuck into the show and it seems many are in agreement about how brilliant it is. One person wrote on Twitter: "Just watched all episodes of #RainDogs So good, a Rubik's cube of class, characters and emotions."

A second echoed this, tweeting: "Just binged watched #RainDogs - beautiful, brilliant, heartbreaking and utterly wonderful- thank you all involved!!" A third said: "Absolutely superb!! If you watch one thing on TV this year… Make sure it's #RainDogs Daisy May Cooper is amazing!!!"

A fourth, meanwhile, was impressed with the themes behind the show: "Did not expect the level of social commentary. It is like a quirky, modern #Cathycomehome. Absolutely brilliant cast and story. Essential Easter viewing. Hoping for a series two!"

For those who are yet to tune in, Rain Dogs tells the story of Costello Jones, a recently sober single mother to ten-year-old Iris who is doing everything she can to make ends meet.

Costello, who works as a writer, finds herself in some seriously sticky situations as she tries to earn money and keep a roof over her daughters head.

Fans are loving the new series

As the synopsis explains: "It's normal to hate the people you love. A makeshift family bound by defiance, chaos, poverty and pain. A wild, swaggering tale of love and friendship."

The show boasts an incredible cast. As mentioned, This Country star Daisy May Cooper leads the cast as Costello Jones while Fleur Tashjian stars as her daughter, Iris. Other names who appear include Jack Farthing as Selby, Ronkẹ Adékoluẹjo as Gloria, and Adrian Edmondson as Lenny.
