The Wonder Years was a coming-of-age American television series that aired in 1988, centred around the Arnold family and its youngest son, Kevin. After 115 episodes, the series ended in 1993 with Kevin's high school graduation.
Now that the children who starred on the show are all grown up, what has the cast of The Wonder Years been up to in the nearly 40 years since it was first released?

Fred Savage
At just 11 years old, Fred starred as the series' main character, Kevin Arnold. In 1989, at 13 years old, he became the youngest actor to be nominated for a Primetime Emmy.
After the show ended, he continued to act on The Princess Bride, Austin Powers in Goldmember and The Grinder before becoming a television director and producer. In 2021, Fred was dismissed while working as the executive producer and director on The Wonder Years reboot following an investigation into inappropriate conduct, which he has denied.
The former child actor has since stepped away from Hollywood and has since started a watch authentication and valuation business, Timepiece Grading Specialists. Fred lives in California with his wife and three children.

Danica McKellar
Danica McKellar starred alongside Fred Savage as Winnie Cooper, Kevin's first love. After filming finished in 1993, Danica studied mathematics at UCLA and now writes books that help to make maths for accessible for young children.
She continues to act alongside writing books and recently starred as Katie in the Christmas romance film, Have We Met This Christmas. Danica lives in Tennessee with her husband and son, Draco.

Josh Saviano
Josh Saviano played Paul Pfeiffer in The Wonder Years, Kevin's best friend. He left acting to pursue a degree at Yale and now works in law and business consulting. Josh occasionally returns to acting, appearing in Law & Order in 2014 and 2015.

Jason Hervey
Jason Hervey played Kevin's older brother, Wayne. He continued acting once the show ended, appearing in Fast Times as Curtis Spicoli.
He now works as a producer and executive for reality television programmes and occasionally returns to acting, featuring in You, Me and the Christmas Tree in 2021.

Olivia d'Abo
Olivia d'Abo played Kevin's older sister. She continued acting after 1993, appearing in The Single Guy and Star Trek: The Next Generation.
In 2025 she received a Daytime Emmy nomination for Emerging Talent in a Daytime Drama Series for her role as Fifi in The Bay.

Dan Lauria
Dan Lauria played Kevin's father in the series. Now 79 years old, he's still an active actor. He wrote and starred in Just Another Day, a stage play that premiered Off-Broadway in 2024.

Alley Mills
Alley Mills played Kevin's mother in the television series and now continues to work as an actress. She appeared as Dr Quin in Medicine Woman and received a Daytime Emmy for her work on The Bold and the Beautiful.

Daniel Stern
While never appearing on-screen, Daniel Stern voiced the role of adult Kevin, the series' narrator. Daniel is most famous for his role as Marv in Home Alone and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York but has since stepped away from Hollywood.
In an interview with People magazine in 2024, he said: "I made enough money that I didn't have to work."
