Trend on trial: Hair perfumes

Hair strands are more absorbent than skin, so that explains the proliferation of hair perfumes. The new way to wear your fragrance is lightly spritzed throughout locks for longer staying power – it gives a whole new meaning to ‘Crowning Glory’.

1. For a fresh, spring-like fragrance, SachaJuan Protective Hair Perfume, £40 is light and fruity, with top notes of lychee and green apple. More of a dry spray, this is great for oily hair that can’t take an overload of product.

2. Dry hair will benefit from a misting of Label M Hair Perfume, £19.50; a punchy aromatic blend containing Argan oil to hydrate frazzled ends, reduce frizz and impart a serious shine boost.

3. Reintroducing a classic fragrance, the Miss Dior Hair Mist, £34 brings the same floral notes as the iconic perfume, together with added protection against urban pollution for the ultimate in luxe scenting.

4. The Oribe Cote D’Azur Eau De Parfum, £62, in its beautiful apothecary style bottle brings the sun-soaked scent of summer to your hair; with a citrus-floral fragrance we can’t stop spritzing. We even popped this on our wrists and décolletage instead of our normal perfume – it’s French Riviera chic bottled.
