Jennifer Lopez isn't afraid to experiment with her style, and the singer debuted yet another new do on Tuesday. The 45-year-old showed off a choppy bob hairstyle in a sultry selfie on Instagram, writing: "Short hair don't care…"

The photo shows the mum-of-two pouting for the camera with her hair styled into a shaggy crop with face-framing layers. Jennifer completed her head-turning new look with smoky blue eye make-up, nude lips and a bold cobalt blue turtleneck dress.

Jennifer's bob proved popular with her fans, with one writing: "You look good with your short hair Jen," while another commented: "you look so beautiful with short hair I love it".

The On the Floor singer usually sports long wavy tresses, but she recently removed her hair extensions in favour of a natural curly bob for her role as Detective Harlee McCord in NBC series Shades of Blue.

While Jennifer hasn't spoken about her new do, it is believed to be the work of her longtime hair stylist Lorenzo Martin, who previously revealed to People why he loves working with the singer and actress.

"The thing about Jennifer is she looks good in everything, and she has amazing hair which makes my job very easy," he said. "We work together so much, we have to constantly switch it up so she looks fresh. I'm pretty lucky."

Lorenzo added: "She probably has one of the most enviable heads in Hollywood… I've said it before, but when someone has amazing hair, it's easy to create amazing looks."

Jennifer has had a busy few months filming her new television show as well as preparing for her upcoming Las Vegas residency which was announced in May. Reaching out to confirm the news to her millions of followers, the superstar told fans it was a dream come true, adding: "I've been preparing for this moment my entire life."
