Chrissy Teigen delighted her Snapchat followers this weekend when she gave them live updates as she underwent a bold new hair makeover. The 30-year-old model revealed that she was ditching her long weave, and going back to a long bob style, similar to the one she rocked a few months ago.

Jen Atkin revealed that Chrissy Teigen's new hair is not a lob

However celebrity hairstylist Jen Atkin, who regularly works with stars including Kim Kardashian, has now revealed that there is more than meets the eye when it comes to Chrissy's new 'do. The hair guru took to Instagram where she confessed that the Lip Sync Battle host's look is "not a lob", but that the star had chosen instead to rock a shorter length at the back of her hair, using extensions at the front to create a contrasting longer length.

It's not the first time that Chrissy, who is married to singer John Legend, has turned to Jen to chop her tresses and create a striking makeover.

When the American star first cut her long tresses into a bob, she revealed that she had a very specific idea of what she wanted, inspired by Khloé Kardashian – and that she knew Jen was the stylist who could help her achieve the look.

"New cut!!" Chrissy wrote to her 6.8 million Instagram followers, alongside a short video of herself pouting and showing off her makeover. "Asked for the khloe-rosie, side of Chrissy khlosey and @jenatkinhair knew exactly what I meant".
