Heidi Klum unveils dramatic transformation

As one of the world's biggest supermodels, Heidi Klum is no stranger to transforming her look with make-up and hair products. The 41-year-old gave fans a glimpse into the process on Tuesday, sharing before and after images of herself during a photoshoot on her Instagram account.

In the first photo, the mother-of-four showed off her natural beauty by going completely make-up free and leaving her blonde hair down, still wet after being washed. "Before," she simply captioned the selfie, with various products lined up in the background. The candid snap immediately caused a social media frenzy with fans speculating as to what the 'after' picture would reveal. They were not kept guessing for long - just a few minutes later, the German beauty posted the next photo from the shoot, in full hair and make-up.

Once again posing for a close-up shot, Heidi was transformed as she smouldered in the second photo. Not only were her golden tresses dry, but they were teased and backcombed for a glamorous style full of volume. Meanwhile, although most of her make-up was kept minimal for a fresh-faced look, this time the Project Runway presenter was sporting dramatic smokey eye make-up that would be worthy of the glitziest red carpet events. Once again she kept the caption for her image to the point. "After," she wrote, also revealing that make-up artist Linda Hay and hairstylist Brent Lawler were the team responsible.

Heidi is not the first celebrity this year to surprise fans with a dramatic make-up transformation. The Avengers actress Gwyneth Paltrow caused a stir on Instagram in January when she unveiled a no make-up selfie alongside a close-up of herself rocking a striking evening make-up look. "Day-to-night. I nominate @amandadecadenet to share her most glamorous transformation," she captioned the image. "#GlamJan #sp @maxfactor."
