Kylie Jenner expands beauty empire as she launches Kylie Cosmetics

Following the success of her lip kits, Kylie Jenner has taken the next step to expand her beauty empire. The Keeping up with the Kardashians star launched Kylie Cosmetics on Monday, revealing that she has been secretly working on a whole range of make-up.

The 18-year-old had the name of her Lips by Kylie website and social media accounts changed to her new brand name, and although the star didn't make a big announcement about her latest venture, she did take to the Kylie Cosmetics website to share her excitement.

"After two long years of dreaming about this, I am so excited to finally share my cosmetic secrets with you guys," she wrote. "Kylie Cosmetics® is a collection of products I created working with my amazing team in our lab to design the perfect ‘Kylie look’. I can’t wait to see how beautiful everyone is going to look. Use the hashtag #KylieCosmetics to share your photos with me."

It comes as no surprise that Kylie has chosen to work on a wider range of products. Her lip kits became iconic when they first went on sale in November last year, with stock selling out in less than a minute. Despite more kits being made available before Christmas, once again they sold out in minutes leaving many beauty addicts disappointed.

Kendall and Kylie launched their clothing collection in New York

However, Kylie has since reassured fans that she is planning to launch more colours this year, including a special pink shade for Valentine's Day.

This week has also seen the launch of another special project for the star as she and sister Kendall Jenner unveiled their eponymous clothing collection in New York ahead of Fashion Week, joined by mum Kris Jenner and Kanye West.

Speaking to People about their latest venture, Kendall said: "We designed it according to what we love, and how our style is. It's someone who is really similar to us. A young girl wanting to have fun. That's mainly what we designed."
