Fearne Cotton turned 35 on Saturday, and to mark the occasion the presenter had a tattoo inked to pay tribute to late iconic musician David Bowie. The star showed off the tiny inking of David's famous lightning bolt on her ribcage, joking: "It's my birthday and I'll get a David Bowie tattoo if I want to."

Fearne looked delighted with her new tattoo as she posed in the parlour, pulling up her shirt to reveal the tiny tribute. She captioned the snap: "This picture is entitled 'Its my birthday and I'll get a David Bowie tattoo if I want to.' My friend Clare and I have been wanting to commemorate our hero David and today felt like the right day."

Fearne has over 11 tattoos

The 35-year-old is a huge fan of the late legendary singer who passed away in January this year after battling cancer. Following his death, Fearne posted a photo of the star, writing: "Devastated. There will only ever be one David Bowie. A pioneer, a maverick and a visionary.

"I've been so inspired by him and his intent on doing what he wants without thought of judgment and views of others. RIP to one of the last icons."

This isn't the presenter's first tattoo, as Fearne has previously described herself as "addicted" to inkings, and has over 11. She said: "Seriously, if I wasn't on TV I'd have tattoos all over my whole body. I would go mental. I'm addicted to tattoos.

"I love the look, the process, the feeling of, 'Yes! I didn’t pass out, I've just achieved something."
