Kimberley Walsh is getting closer to her due date. The pregnant singer, who is expecting her first child with long-term boyfriend Justin Scott, has been making last-minute preparations for the arrival of their baby. After taking a hiatus from social media, Kimberley had fans excited when she resurfaced with a photo on Instagram.

Kimberley Walsh is expecting her first baby any day now

"Sorry I haven't tweeted for a while been busy.....#nesting," wrote the mummy-to-be alongside a snap of reels and reels of freshly washed baby clothing. The former Girls Aloud star and her partner have not revealed the sex of their baby, but followers were quick to venture a guess. "Looks like a boy???" wrote one fan, alluding to some blue and grey items, while another posted, "I vote baby boy on the way!" Kimberley, 32, was most recently spotted running errands near her North London home on Monday, where she flaunted her huge baby bump in a blue and white maxi dress. Pregnancy is certainly suiting the star as she radiated a healthy glow and beamed from ear to ear as she went about her daily routine.

The Bradford-born beauty has been joking about her changing body shape, with a recent photo on Twitter of herself in a figure-hugging green dress captioned, "Does my bump look big in this?!" Her close friend Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, who tied the knot to French restaurant owner Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini in July, replied with a sarcastic comment "not at all" alongside an icon of a face with two bulging eyes. It would come as no surprise if Kimberley asked Cheryl to be a godmother, given their friendship that has spanned more than a decade.

Close friend Cheryl Fernandez-Versini may well be picked as a godmother

"I'm sure Cheryl will be godmother," Kimberley's friend and TV star Denise Van Outen has previously told HELLO! Online. "They are very very close. They are almost like sisters in way those two." "She's breezing through it she's so calm," Denise added on Kimberley's pregnancy. "She's one of those people who is used to being around babies because of her sisters so she knows what to expect."
