Blake Lively gave a masterclass in maternitywear as she hit the red carpet in New York this week. The super-stylish star, 27, looked incredible as she flaunted her baby bump in a form-fitting backless black gown that hugged her new curves. The glowing actress, expecting her first baby with husband Ryan Reynolds, kept her makeup minimal and wore her long blonde hair loose down her back as she happily posed for the cameras at the L’Oreal Paris Ninth Annual Women of Worth Celebration.

Pregnant Blake Lively made a glamorous appearance in New York this week

Blake was named as a new face of L'Oreal last October, and joined fellow spokeswomen Julianne Moore and Eva Longoria at The Pierre Hotel for the event. Blake has already shown that she doesn’t have to glam up to make pregnancy look stylish. Last month, the mama-to-be wrapped up against the cold in an on-trend hooded black cape with geometric red print detailing as she stepped out in New York.

Her other style hits have included a plunging yellow Gucci gown, and a casual but cosy layered look, featuring a high-waisted floral skirt, teamed with a black and white striped top, denim jacket and knee-high boots. Blake and Ryan have not announced their baby's due date, but it is expected within the next few months. Both have spoken of their excitement at becoming parents for the first time.

"I'm good with diapers and all that kind of stuff because I have lots of nieces and nephews, so I've done it all before," Ryan, 38, recently said. "I'm just excited about having a buddy." Blake has echoed his sentiments. "I came from a big family, a big family of Southerners," the former Gossip Girl star revealed. "I'm the youngest of five, so I never raised any siblings below me, but I'm always the person who's taking everyone else's kid and putting them on my hip, so I've kinda always been a mama."
