Following her pregnancy announcement last month, Jaime King has some more big news to share. The Hart Of Dixie star has asked her close friend Taylor Swift to be the godmother of her unborn baby. Taylor proudly confirmed her new role with a sweet photo shared on her Instagram page. "Guess who just got named Godmother of this little one……(ME)," the 25-year-old singer wrote alongside a snapshot that shows her kneeling in front of expectant Jaime, her hands gently resting on her tummy.

Jaime, 35, also posted a photo on Instagram showing her and Taylor looking at her exposed baby bump. "And taylorswift will forever be looking over our new baby. Godmother – we all love you!!! Xx," she captioned the picture. Actress Jamie announced her second pregnancy two weeks ago, with a sweet photo of her 16-month-old son James. The sweet toddler can be seen blowing bubbles behind a handwritten sign that reads, "I'm gonna be a big brother! Who da boss now. I'm so excited!!!!"

Jaime married Kyle Newman in November 2007 and they welcomed little James in October 2013. The road to motherhood wasn't easy for Jaime. "I've had five miscarriages, gone through five rounds of IVF and 26 rounds on IUI," she revealed to People in January. "I was in severe pain all the time, emotionally and physically." Taylor and Jaime have been best friends for some time, and frequently appear in each other’s Instagram feeds. "She's the most fun, most loving and most generous friend and I feel very blessed to have her in my life," Jaime has previously said of the Shake It Off singer.

Taylor famously has a very close circle of famous girlfriends, all of whom she's more than happy to talk about. Just don't ask her about her rumoured feud with Katy Perry. "I'm not giving them anything to write about," she said in a new interview with the Telegraph. "I'm not going to talk about her in my interview. It's not going to happen."
