Helen Flanagan and Scott Sinclair have shared the first photos of their beautiful newborn baby girl. Footballer Scott, 26, posted a gorgeous family photo of himself cuddled up to Helen and the tiny daughter, and proudly announced her name. "Best day of my life," he wrote. "Welcome to the world Matilda Jessica Sinclair."
Actress Helen, 24, posted another photograph showing Matilda wearing an adorable yellow babygro with the words 'Apple of my mummy's eye' printed on it. She captioned the image: "Matilda Jessica Sinclair my beautiful little girl x."
The former Coronation Street star also shared separate pictures of herself and Scott with their new arrival, captioning one, "My everything" and the other, "The man I love and our world."
Helen and Aston Villa player Scott, who had decided not to find out the sex of their baby ahead of the birth, are thought to have welcomed Matilda on Monday 29 June. The new mum was reportedly induced two weeks after passing her due date.
"Helen gave birth on Monday in Birmingham, and she is still there recovering," a friend told the Sun. "It is hoped that she'll be back home in a day or so. It is very exciting for them, and both of their families."
The source added: "Helen was hoping to have the baby naturally, but the doctors decided it was best to induce. She is exhausted but doing well."
The couple, who announced their pregnancy in December 2014, have been together in an on-off relationship for six years. Little Matilda Jessica is their first child.
Helen excitedly documented her pregnancy on social media, and on her mid-June due date shared a photo of herself and Scott eagerly awaiting their baby’s arrival. "Due date walk this evening," she wrote alongside. The star also posted a photo of the couple playing monopoly with the hashtag "#waitingforbaby".
The last photo was uploaded less than a week ago when Helen, who had a beautiful pregnancy glow, was about 41 weeks pregnant.
