Helen Flanagan takes baby Matilda to first football game

There's a first for everything and on Tuesday Helen Flanagan took her newborn little girl to her first football game. The mother-daughter duo were cheering on football player Scott Sinclair, Helen's long-term partner and the proud dad to baby Matilda.

It looks like Matilda was something of a lucky charm for her father Scott, as the Aston Villa winger scored a hat-trick, leading his team to a 5-3 victory against Notts County.

Clearly proud of her boyfriend's success on the pitch – and wanting to show off adorable Matilda to her Instagram followers – new mum Helen shared a picture online.

"I hope that one day you will see me as your best friend," Helen Flanagan has previously written on Instagram

"Matilda's first football game yesterday to watch daddy who scored a hat trick @scotty__sinclair9," she wrote.

The 25-year-old actress was pictured holding her baby, who was bundled up in a padded snowsuit that featured a fur-lined hood for extra warmth.

The doting mum, who has been in a relationship with Scott since 2009, gave birth to her first child at the end of June. Ahead of the two-month mark, Helen shared the cutest video of Matilda wriggling around on her back and waving her arms in the air.

Helen has taken her newborn baby on many "firsts" including her first shopping trip to Bath

The former Coronation Street star has been documenting her baby's "firsts" on Instagram. When Matilda was just a week old, she went on her first family day out to the park. Her first shopping trip with the girls – mum Helen and grandma Julia – came just a few days after when the trio headed to Bath to hit the boutiques.

It's clear from Helen's pictures that she is absolutely besotted with her little girl, and has been showering Matilda with a lot of love, cuddles and kisses.

The 25-year-old actress welcomed her daughter with Scott Sinclair at the end of June

"I hope that one day you will see me as your best friend, my beautiful daughter you make me so so happy," she captioned one sweet photo of herself and her newborn.

Scott is equally as smitten. The 26-year-old posted a photo last month of his beautiful girlfriend and baby, writing alongside it, "Can't wait to get home and see my girls ❤."
