Cat Deeley and Patrick Kielty are expecting their first baby together. The couple, who married in a secret ceremony in Rome in 2012, announced the happy news on Twitter late on Thursday night. "Exciting news… Paddy and I are so happy to be expecting our first child in the spring… Lucky us," 38-year-old Cat told her followers.
It comes just a month after Irish comedian Patrick, 44, opened up about the possibility of having children with his wife. "I hope any child we have has Cat's looks and my accent," he joked to the Birmingham Mail. "With our two strong accents, we basically need subtitles or a UN translator."

When asked when the couple might like to start a family, he then replied: "I don't know. I generally find that when joy like that comes along, it's a surprise."
Patrick and Birmingham-born Cat were friends for 10 years before they tied the knot. Patrick has previously admitted that there was "always a spark" between them before their relationship became romantic.
"There was always a little bit of a spark between us but either she was with someone or I was with someone and by the time we were both single she was in America. It was always one of those things that never worked out," he explained.

"Women tend to be in charge and we men just have to get on the pitch, stand on the leg that's shaking most and not drop the ball when it comes our way."
The couple made their debut together in March 2012, and were married just six months later. Their surprise wedding at St Isidore's College Church was a small, intimate affair, with the couple inviting just six friends each and their immediate family.
Patrick later explained that they "didn't really care where we did it, we just wanted to be married".
