After giving birth to her daughter on Wednesday morning, Fearne Cotton couldn't wait to share a sweet photo with her online followers. The thrilled mum posted a close-up snap of baby Honey's hands on Twitter and Instagram, thanking fans for their support.

"Thank you so much for all your lovely messages," wrote Fearne. "We are so in love with little Honey."

The radio presenter, who also has a son Rex with her husband Jesse Wood, gave just a glimpse of the newborn's outstretched hands while she supported her.

Fearne, 34, also used Twitter to announce her baby's birth, writing: "Jesse and I are over the moon and buzzing with love, as our baby daughter Honey Krissy Wood came into the world this morning."

"Woohoo!!!" proud dad Jesse replied, with a string of heart and baby emoticons.

The pair, who married in July of last year, were flooded with well wishes by their fans and famous friends, including Tom Fletcher, Keith Lemon and Fearne's best friend Holly Willoughby.

Fearne and her husband Jesse Wood are also parents to two-year-old son Rex

Mum-of-three Holly tweeted, "Congratulations beautiful lady @Fearnecotton so so excited for you all. Can't wait to meet little honey... Love you x" while McBusted's Tom, who is expecting his second child next year, wrote, "Amazing news! Congratulations @Fearnecotton and Jesse. Over the moon for you. X."

Fearne also retweeted a message from her father-in-law Ronnie Wood of The Rolling Stones. "Lovely afternoon welcoming new arrival Honey Krissy into the world. Congratulations @JesseWood @Fearnecotton x," it read.

Baby Honey Krissy is named after Jesse's late mum Krissy Findlay

The couple decided to name their little girl after Jesse's late mother Krissy Findlay, who passed away in June 2005.

Hopefully, the name finds approval with big brother Rex, even though it is not the one he had in mind. When Fearne asked for ideas recently, her little boy gave the name of one of his favourite characters – Bob the Builder.
