Dani Harmer has revealed the gender of her baby

"Me and Simon are both beyond excited that we're having a little girl," she told HELLO!.

"This means I can surround myself with all things pink and girly. I thought it was going to be a girl and I can't believe I was right! Mothers instinct is an actual thing! The whole family is very excited - especially the nannys. She is going to be incredibly spoilt and loved".

The 26-year-old star and her partner Simon first announced the happy news in January, and told HELLO! they were delighted at the prospect of becoming parents. "We're over the moon," she said.

"I still wake up every morning and go, 'I'm pregnant.' It was amazing seeing the scan. I find the whole thing absolutely fascinating. What an amazing, clever thing to be going on inside my body.

"I absolutely can't wait. I'm also really nervous. But I guess I just have to take each day as it comes. I've always wanted to be a mum." And she already has an idea of the mother she plans to be.

"I want to be a fun mum," she says. "My mum was really fun and she was a friend as well as a mum. That’s what I’d like to have with my child. I know I can tell my mum absolutely anything. I think if you can find the balance between respect and friendship, combining all those things into one, that would be perfect."

2016 is going to be the best yet!! Happy new year 🙊xxx

The couple are about to move into their first home together – although they are putting any wedding plans on hold for a few years.

"Starting a family is something we've joked about pretty much from day one," Simon explains. "But we don’t want to get married just because we're having a baby. Dani wants the little one to walk up the aisle with us, so we'll have to wait a fair few years for that."
