Congratulations to former Emmerdale star Kelvin Fletcher and his wife Eliza Marsland, who have welcomed their first child – a baby girl - together. The couple announced the happy news on social media on Monday, but have yet to reveal any further details about their bundle of joy.

Eliza was the first to reveal the news by sharing a photo of a beautiful bouquet of pink flowers on Instagram, adding the caption: "Everything pink for the little cherub #bestfeeling in the world!"

Kelvin then shared the post on Twitter, telling fans: Our hearts are filled with love. She's the most beautiful little thing I've ever seen."

The couple were inundated with congratulatory messages from fans and friends alike, including Kelvin's former co-star Roxanne Pallett, who commented: "Congratulations. Such beautiful news."

Eliza's pregnancy came shortly after she tied the knot with Emmerdale star Kelvin. Although there was no official announcement, Eliza shared a handful of photos with fans showing her growing baby bump, while Kelvin revealed he couldn't wait to become a dad, admitting that he hopes to have a big family in the future.

Eliza and Kevin were married in a romantic wedding ceremony in November last year, in front of guests including Michelle Keegan, and his Emmerdale co-stars. Speaking exclusively to HELLO!, Kelvin said he felt "complete" after marrying the girl of his dreams.

"I knew I wanted to marry Liz the day I met her. Deep down I knew she was The One," said the 31-year-old actor, who plays Andy Sugden in the long-running soap.

"The image of Liz coming towards me up the aisle will live with me forever. She took my breath away. She looked so beautiful."

The proud groom added: "We didn't need a piece of paper to prove anything because we know we love each other. But now that it's here, it feels so right," he added. "Marriage completes us."
