Geri Horner shows off baby bump as friend Emma Bunton gushes over pregnancy news

Gemma Strong

Geri Horner, née Halliwell, couldn't hide her delight as she showed off her baby bump for the very time on Monday evening, hours after announcing the news that she is expecting her first baby with husband Christian Horner. The former Spice Girl, 44, beamed for the camera and cradled her growing tummy as she posed at the 2016 Attitude Awards – where she was named Honorary Gay Awards Winner – in a plunging midnight blue halterneck gown that clung to her new curves.

Geri was joined at the event by her adoring spouse Christian, who stood protectively with his arm around his wife, and band mate Emma Bunton.

Mum-of-two Emma admitted that she had known "for a while" about Geri's pregnancy, and said it was "wonderful that it is out in the open".

"I'm over the moon, she is going to be an amazing mum, for the second time," Emma told BANG Showbiz. "I'll be babysitting, but we are all working mums so she doesn't need any advice from me. It's very exciting."

Geri and Formula 1 Red Bull boss Christian, 42, have been married since 15 May 2015. The singer – who is already a mum to 10-year-old daughter Bluebell from a past relationship – borrowed a line from her solo single It's Raining Men to announce their big news.

"God bless Mother Nature #mamaspice," she wrote alongside a sketch of a heavily pregnant woman.
