The pair announced their engagement in October

Ryan was in the centre of controversy back in August after he and three of his team mates told authorities that they were threatened at gunpoint while in Rio for the Olympics, an allegation which later turned out to be untrue. He spoke about how he knew Kayla was the one after she supported him through the scandal. He told USA Today Sports: "My family says, 'Don't you think it's a little too soon?' I'm like, 'Can you put a time on love? Can you?' I realised this was 'the one' when she stuck behind me through this. She still loves me and she's still right there with me."
