Following the arrival of Cheryl and Liam Payne's baby boy, Coral has revealed the odds on who the loved-up pair will ask to be godparents. According to the popular bookmaker, the firm favourite for godfather is Simon Cowell at 4-6, while Cheryl's mum Joan is thought to be made godmother. The former X Factor judge's Girls Aloud bandmates Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts shares 6-4 odds, while other likely contenders for godmother including Sharon Osbourne, Danni Minogue and Victoria Beckham, with Louis Walsh, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan as contenders for godfather.

Will.i.am also has a close friendship with Cheryl, and has been given 5-1 odds. And even Cheryl's ex Ashley Cole has made the list, with impressive 500-1 odds. David Stevens of Coral said: "With a host of celebrity friends to choose from, Cheryl and Liam will have some tough choices to make when it comes to Godparents but we reckon pop's Godfather Simon Cowell is an odds-on shot to get the call." Cheryl and Liam announced the news that they had welcomed a baby boy together on Saturday. Liam wrote: "My close friends and family know there are very few times when I'm left speechless... wow! I'm incredibly happy to welcome our new baby boy into the world, it's a moment that I will never forget for the rest of my life and my favourite memory I have so far. I'm completely in awe of his incredible mother and how she has been the whole way through this. She's really made my dreams come true. We haven't named him yet but he's already capturing hearts including mine. I feel very blessed. Happy Mother's Day everyone!"

Cheryl wrote: "On Wednesday 22nd March Liam and I became parents to an incredibly beautiful, healthy baby boy, weighing 7lb 9 and looking like a dream. Although he still doesn't have a name he is already stealing hearts. We are all madly in love and overwhelmingly happy with our little arrival. Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers around the world. A day that now has a different meaning to me forever."
