Anton Du Beke and his partner Hannah Summers have been seen leaving hospital with their newborn twins. The couple beamed as they headed home together on Tuesday, with Strictly star Anton proudly carrying both his children – a baby girl and a baby boy – in baby carriers. On Wednesday night, with his young children safely at home, Anton took to Twitter to thank fans for their support. "Thank you for all your lovely messages," he wrote. "Who said I wouldn't be able to change a nappy?!"

Anton, 50, and 41-year-old Hannah became first-time parents last week, with the TV star announcing the arrival of his son and daughter in a sweet Instagram post. "Oh my! The little dancing feet have arrived. Mum and twins are perfect and dad is ridiculously excited," he told his followers. Anton was quickly inundated with messages of congratulations – including words of support from some fellow Strictly stars. Ore Oduba wrote: "Who's the daddy!!!? There's only one @mrantondubeke… Now there are two brand new Du Bekes in the Strictly family! So happy for Anton and Hannah #twins #DuBekeDouble." Daisy Lowe added: "Congratulations sweetheart!!!! Those twinkle toed twins are lucky to have you! All my love to you and your gorgeous family."

So far, the names of the twins have not been revealed – although Anton previously joked he would love to call the babies Anton and Antoinette. He told This Morning hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield: "I've had my eye on a couple of names but it's met with a cold stare every time I mention it. I thought Anton and Antoinette… I think they're lovely names but I didn't get a good response!"
