Actress Priyanka Chopra has great skin - there’s no doubt about that. And if you think it’s because of pricey creams or luxurious facials, think again! The 35-year-old, who attended the royal wedding back on 19 May, has revealed all of her skin care secrets.
In an interview with Priyanka reveals her mum was full of good beauty advice while growing up. Talking about her mum, she said: “Since she was a little girl, she always took care of her skin, and made me realise when I was a little girl the importance of it.

“Of course when you’re young, you don’t listen as much but as I grew older, I realised all these little tricks and amazing secrets that she had were integral to my skin.”
Her mother, Madhu, used to make Priyanka clean her skin really well after wearing heavy makeup after competing in pageants. She explained: “You must clean your skin very very well before going to bed - that’s when your skin is breathing.”
But the ultimate trick for getting the best skin is coconut oil! Both Priyanka and her mum swear by organic coconut oil for taking off their makeup, and recommend leaving it on your face for a few minutes and then remove it with a moist towel - that way it exfoliates and hydrates.
Priyanka said: “It just takes off all your makeup, and it really helped with my dry skin,” says Chopra. “And your pores say, ‘ah thank you,’” her mum agreed.
Coconut oil is an excellent and gentle makeup remover, as well as being great at softening and hydrating skin and hair. It’s delicate enough to use as an eye cream and will leave skin smooth.

The pair also swear by a traditional indian face mask called Ubtan, which Priyanka credits for fixing most of her skin concerns. It is made up of just five natural ingredients and you leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes. Get the recipe here.
Priyanka is considered one of the most beautiful actresses of our time (just ask her rumoured boyfriend Nick Jonas!), but her confidence hasn’t always been there. “As a teenager I had a lot of self-esteem issues,” she said. “I was very concerned about how I looked. I didn’t feel beautiful.”
Her mum then said: “You didn’t realise it, but the world knew it, and I knew it.”
All together now: Aww.
