Spring has arrived early. Not in the form of mild weather, or a premature Tulip bloom – but in the shape of the vintage inspired dress Sienna Miller wore to the National Board of Review Gala in New York City last night.

The 41-year-old former boho muse donned a dress from Alessandra Rich’s 2023 ready to wear collection called “Let’s Kiss”, and it gave a major ode to the Anatomy of a Scandal star’s early noughties style era.

Sienna wore Alessandra Rich Spring 2023 for the Gala

The maxi dress boasted a light pink/nude colourway, with one ruffled shoulder contrasting the other spaghetti strap. The ruffles continued throughout the chiffon dress which exuded retro Y2K John Galliano vibes. Alessandra Rich gave the ensemble a vintage-contemporary spin by adorning with a wash of old photographs, prints and ‘Rich’ motifs. The dress was finished off with a loose silver waist belt, bringing the ultra flattering silhouette together.

Sienna left her signature shoulder length blonde tresses loose and wavy (the ‘boho-chic’ signature hairstyle) paired with a fresh faced makeup look. And jewellery was eschewed in favour of a pair of dangle earrings – a style that is back in fashion and here to stay (as proven by Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle).

Her signature boho-chic style is back

Boho has been on Sienna’s agenda since she graced us with her fashionable presence in the mid 2000’s, when she spearheaded the trend that uniquely defined the sartorial agenda of the decade. She has famously shied away from the look since becoming renowned for it back in the early aughts. Understandably, she was tired of people copying her, telling Stella Magazine, "When I first became well-known, a lot of my beautiful vintage clothes that I’d collected from a very young age were mimicked and remade… And that was – well, it was certainly not a heartbreak, but I remember feeling saddened.”

It appears she has now softened her stance on boho style and she has continuously levelled up, adding layers of sartorial chicness to her iconic aesthetic. 2022 was no different, as she continuously nailed putting her own Sienna spin on the year’s biggest trends…

Her sartorial colour palette screamed boho

Last month Sienna was spotted wearing a super trendy Isabel Marant shearling coat with straight leg chocolate brown leather trousers for a friend’s baby shower. She paired them with the ultimate white western boots from Charles and Keith, and a burnt orange suede crossbody bag from Mansur Gavriel. Could this colour palette be any more boho?

She injected goth-glam into this babydoll dress

In November she threw winter’s biggest goth-glam trend into the mix as she attended the Claridge's Christmas Tree Party with Jimmy Choo. She wore a black floaty babydoll dress from Simone Rocha, amping up the goth with black over the knee leg warmers and black chunky peep toe heels.

The cut-out dress is a trend that's staying for 2023

Back in August, she wore a chic baby blue cut-out dress by Self-Portrait to The Sandman premiere. The peep-hole dress in various forms was in everybody’s wardrobes last year, notably made popular by Maison Valentino and Nensi Dojaka. Sienna opted for this uncomplicated blue dress with flouncy flute sleeves, adding a touch of boho to the style that we know is still going to be a mega trend in 2023
