If you've been on Instagram lately you may have noticed a galaxy of stars (and an army of influencers) have descended upon Dubai this weekend.

With celebrations starting on Friday, the United Arab Emirates have seemingly played host to the entire fashion set, with names reading out like the Oscars guest list. From supermodels such as Kendall Jenner and Bar Refaeli to esteemed actresses like Letitia Wright.

The A-list gathering was to mark the grand reveal of Atlantis The Royal, Dubai's new ultra-luxury hotel. The weekend has featured a series of glittering events, including Beyoncé's first live performance since 2018, a star-studded Sake Ceremony hosted by chef Nobu Matsuhisa, as well as Kendall Jenner hosting the launch of her 818 Tequila brand in the UAE.

Beyoncé held her first live performance since 2018 for the grand opening

The supermodel held an after party at Cloud22, the bar located on the 22nd floor of the new hotel. "Guests can enjoy a dip in the sparkling sky pool, or settle in to one 15 private cabanas or opt for the VVIP cabana – which comes with a private pool – and tune in to the DJ’s flawlessly mixed set," Atlantis The Royal explained of Cloud22 on its website.

Black Panther star Letitia Wright also attended the event

The hotel also boasts 17 world-class restaurants, including 8 helmed by celebrity chefs including Michelen star chef Heston Blumenthal and the aforementioned chef Nobu Matsuhisa, founder of Nobu.

Supermodel Bar Refaeli is also a fan of the hotel

It also has it’s own private white sand beach and signature penthouses in a 43 storey high building with views of the Arabian Sea and Palm Island. According to the hotel’s website, "The new iconic landmark of Dubai, Atlantis The Royal welcomes you to an experience that will completely redefine your perspective of luxury."
