It’s fair to say Coachella is the most fashionable festival on the planet. The glitz and glam of Hollywood follows the fashion set 134 miles across state to Indio, California for the annual gig that is as much about a sartorial show as it is a music show.

The 2023 line up of fashion so far has been everything we expected and more, with plenty of trends we’ve witnessed dominating the runway and street style agendas alike over the last year or so being given a festival-worthy makeover.

We’ve already rounded up the best looks so far and the ultimate celebrity Instagrams you need to follow to keep up to date with the weekend's A-list fashion. There are also particular trends we’ve noticed across the whole festival fashion sphere that are super easy to recreate, and you can actually shop them now

Coachella 2023 fashion trends to shop now:

Double Denim

Not to toot our own horns, but we picked out elevated double denim as one of the biggest street style trends to try from London Fashion Week AW23. And it appears our sartorial radar’s hit the nail on the head, as the styling hack associated with the 70s and 80s has been given a playful festival makeover. Emma Chamberlain opted for a vintage bandeau and mini skirt set whilst Suki Waterhouse donned jeans and a matching bralet layered with a shirt. The easiest trend that you could probably recreate with items already in your wardrobe. Or purchase a denim top to pair with your favourite jeans and you’re good to go.

Cowboy boots

The most fitting footwear for an west-American festival. The cowboy boot is one of those styles that has dipped in and out of popularity since Ralph Lauren took them to the runway in the late 70s, making it the ideal footwear to invest in. Considering the rise of the retro Y2K aesthetic, it’s no surprise Gen-Z’s and millennials alike took the cowboy boot style and ran with it in 2022. The #cowboysboots currently has a whopping 830.6 million views on TikTok, and the trend is not leaving us anytime soon according to Coachella's fashionistas.

Maxi dresses

Forget typical festival hot pants and tiny bralettes, maxi dresses are the way forward for 2023 if more coverage is your ideal agenda. Whether you prefer statement florals, simple spaghetti straps or the current cool-girl sheer dress trend (a la Jasmine Tookes on day one), a maxi is the most versatile festival piece on the planet. Wear with cowboy boots or biker boots (though slip-on sandals seem to be the go-to for Coachella's fashionistas), a fringed western jacket or denim – purchasing a maxi can be layered lots of ways for various occasions, for festivals and beyond.
