Fashion week looks mighty glamorous from the outside, but trust me - behind every perfectly poised photo is someone silently pondering where the nearest Pret is because their stomach hasn't stopped rumbling since 8am.

If you're planning to spend 17-21 September dashing between shows, presentations, appointments and parties, preparation is key.

So I consulted the H! Fashion team - who are seasoned pros at LFW by this point - for their absolute fashion week must-haves.

The non-negotiables that are always stashed in their (utterly fabulous) handbags - from plasters to a portable charger and more...

Comfy Shoes

: Isabel Dorsman is seen wearing a black leather zip front jacket with a high collar and belted waist; black capri leggings; suede and leather open back lace up mule sneakers with white side stripes; a brown Intrecciato woven leather Small Wallace tote bag with gold tone knot detail from Bottega Veneta; rectangular sunglasses with dark tinted lenses; dark brown hair worn in a sleek bun during Day Four of Amsterdam Fashion Week, outside the Creative Lab Show on September 4, 2026 in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Isabel Dorsman in the perfect pair of trainer/mule hybrids. Zero danger of bleeding heels.

We know, we know. The outfit might look better in heels, but after approximately 18,000 steps, your feet will have other ideas. After all, nobody has ever looked effortlessly cool while limping down the strand.

Hey, just because they're comfy doesn't mean they can't be outrageously cool too.

Sunglasses

What's better than an oversize pair of sunnies?

Part accessory, part eye protection and part disguise for when you run into someone you'd really rather avoid. Also brilliant at hiding tired eyes after attending one too many LFW parties...

A Statement Watch

Because knowing the time is important when you have 7 shows to fit into one day - each entailing a 25 minute schlep across London.

    Tissot

A watch so ethereal - you can even track the phases of the moon with it. Bewitching.

Plasters

Glamorous? Absolutely. Essential? Without a doubt. Put a stash in your bag and become everyone's best friend when the blisters start popping up around day 2.

    Faster Healing Blister Waterproof Plasters

    Superdrug

Apply at the first sign of discomfort and these protective plasters will help heal blisters in no time.

Portable Phone Charger

Your phone becomes your diary, camera, sat-nav, show invite and emergency Tesco finder. Letting it die by by 4pm is essentially a fashion week natural disaster.

Hey, just because it's practical doesn't mean it can't be darn cute.

Snacks

Not actually a packet of crisps, but a Balenciaga handbag

Fashion waits for no one, least of all someone who has missed lunch. My snack of choice? Why, McCoy's Salt and Vinegar crisps obviously.

An Umbrella

BERLIN, GERMANY - OCTOBER 19: Model Zoe Helali, wearing black wide leg trousers by Mother, a multicolored body by Farm Rio, jewelry by Meerglanz, black pumps by Maison Baum and an umbrella by Pasotti, seen on October 19, 2025 in Berlin, Germany. Bonus points for Zoe Helali's very cool brollie.

Because this is London, not Santorini.

Because if the British weather won't offer up a blue sky, this is the next best thing.

A Sense of Humour

And finally - a sense of humour is a vital thing to pack. Schedules will change, heels will hurt and someone will inevitably say: "Wait... where are we going again?" Fashion week is chaos - in the very best way. Enjoy it!
