I'd love to shoot Wills' engagement says Mario Testino

The world's leading fashion photographer, Mario Testino, has already got his eye on shooting the official engagement picture of Kate Middleton and Prince William – once the happy event is announced, of course. "I would love to do that," the high profile snapper told a British newspaper this week. "Let's pray for that."

It wouldn't be the first time Mario has captured members of the royal family on film. He's already renowned for his now-iconic portraits of the late Princess Diana, as well as his images of her sons William and Harry.

The Peruvian photographer is apparently already acquainted with the young Princes' girlfriends. "I've met both Kate and Chelsy Davy," he told the Daily Express. "They came to see my recent exhibition at Kensington Palace. They were both nice girls."

And Mario has nothing but praise for William's Berkshire-born love. "Kate is so lovely, and she has the making of a future queen," he enthused of the pretty 24-year-old brunette.
