Pauline Ducruet had one very important person to meet up with during her trip to New York – her cousin Jazmin Grace Grimaldi, the daughter of Prince Albert II of Monaco. The pair, who don't get to see much of each other as they live on opposite sides of the world, were reunited on Sunday at one of the city's main attractions.

Pauline, 20, shared a sweet photo on Instagram of herself and her older cousin Jazmin, who lives in the Big Apple.

"Sunday walk et Central Park @jazzygrace4," Pauline captioned the photo.

Judging by the snap, the cousins couldn't have asked for a better day and showed their enjoyment by flashing identical smiles at the camera.

Pauline, who is Princess Stephanie of Monaco's elder daughter, gained approval from her thousands of Instagram followers, with one social media user commenting that she and Jazmin were "lovely cousins".

"Your grandmother is no doubt smiling," wrote another, making reference to Stephanie and Albert's actress mum Grace Kelly, who was married to Prince Rainier III.

While Pauline has grown up in her native Monaco and is currently eleventh in line to the throne, Jazmin was born and raised in California by her real estate agent mother Tamara Rotolo. Jazmin, 23, went on to study at Fordham University in New York, despite her biological father Prince Albert always making it clear that she was welcome to study and live in Monaco.

Prince Albert, who recently welcomed twins with his wife Princess Charlene last December, confirmed Jazmin's paternity in 2006 when she was almost 16 years old. He had previously said that he wanted to protect her identity until she was an adult.

A few months later Monaco's reigning monarch revealed in an interview with Larry King that his daughter was not in the line of succession to the Monegasque throne, but that she received financial support.

Jazmin, who has travelled to the Principality to spend time with her dad, was most recently spotted attending a screening of Cinderella in New York. Much like her cousins Charlotte Casiraghi and Pauline, Jazmin showed off her style credentials wearing a nude, form-fitting dress and matching sling-back heels.
