After a brief stop at Government House in Victoria, an estimated number of 25,000 well-wishers headed to British Columbia’s Parliament Buildings to greet Prince William and Kate.

They then made appearances at the Shelway charity, the Immigration Services Society of British Columbia and the world's largest temperate rainforest, the Great Bear Rainforest (400km).

But ever the fashion icon and as one of the world's most photographed women, it's hardly surprising Kate dazzled crowds as she showed off her unique style in an array of high-end designer gear.

Prince William and Kate also made trips from Victoria to Vancouver via seaplane, believed to be the fastest way to travel (totting up to around 70 miles) - and they also enjoyed a ride on the Kitsilano Coastguard Station's hovercraft.

It has been 33 years since William's parents Prince Charles and Diana visited Canada, when they were the guests of Trudeau's father, Pierre, the then Canadian Prime Minister.

This trip also marked five months since the last royal tour which saw the couple visit India and Bhutan in April.
