Lady Amelia Windsor, who has been described as "the most beautiful member of the royal family" by Tatler magazine, has opened up about her travel plans for 2017 and how she will be spending a year abroad as part of her degree.

Chatting to Miss Vogue, the 36th-in-line to the throne revealed that her most exciting plans for the New Year included spending some time away from Edinburgh, where she currently lives and studies. She said she is looking forward to "making the most of my year abroad in Paris and Rome as part of my degree, going to Glastonbury and finally getting my driving licence," and that she is also planning to visit the USA for the first time ever.

Lady Amelia chatted about her travel plans

The 21-year-old revealed that she wants to visit her sister, Lady Marina, in New York, telling the magazine: "I would love to visit my sister in New York when she moves at the end of the month. I've never been to America before so now I have the perfect excuse to go. I'm also keen to go to Jamaica and visit Golden Eye where Ian Fleming wrote James Bond and Strawberry Hill." The royal loves travelling, and recently returned from Morocco. She also spoke about her tips while travelling alone, saying: "Always tell your family and friends everywhere you're going, send number plates of taxis and make sure to send a photocopy of your passport details and visas." Amelia Windsor is the granddaughter of the Queen's cousin, Prince Edward, Duke of Kent and the daughter of George Philip Nicholas Windsor, Earl of St Andrews, who is the heir apparent to the Dukedom of Kent, while her mother is University of Cambridge historian Sylvana Palma Windsor, Countess of St Andrews.
