Shot on the south cast of Cornwall during the summer of 2012, the film tells the tale of a time travelling quest for love, shot by Richard Curtis of Four Weddings and a Funeral and Notting Hill fame.
It fits the same mould as his previous hits, but with an extra message – to learn to stop and savour key moments in our life. Now out on DVD, it's one to watch.
If you're inspired by the film, why not take a trip to the south west coast? The stunning views of Cornwall provides the perfect backdrop for this feel-good film.
Porthpean House; Lydia Scott, 2013
Particularly Porthpean House, where the movie was shot. It's a grand, A-listed building with wonderfully quaint rooms and stunning views of the ocean. Owner Martin Petherick looked on two summers ago as an art team came and transformed his house, before the film crew arrived to shoot scenes for three weeks. It's an ideal wedding location for brides-to-be.
