Heidi Klum kicked off the 79th annual Cannes Film Festival in style, as she showed off her model-of-duty look at the Jury Dinner at the Hotel Martinez on Monday. The 52-year-old opted for a casual ensemble that featured a daring twist.
The German native wore a sheer black blouse that was layered with a sleek black blazer and paired with light-wash Mom jeans. Heidi coordinated her accessories with true fashion flair as she carried a denim Chanel bag and rocked a pair of black patent leather loafers.
Heidi's luscious locks were styled into soft waves while her makeup was left natural and radiant, framed by a pair of black skinny sunglasses. The model was joined for the lavish dinner by her furry pooch, Fritz. Heidi announced that she had adopted the pup in April with her husband, Tom Kaulitz.
"Adopted this 6 month old fluff ball Fritz. This week , next to our Film Studio was a pop up Adoption place with over 50 Dogs. As the day went on most dogs found a home but this little scraggly fluff ball was still in his cage. It took me some convincing with my husband as I know he is right …. But I could not leave him behind," she penned on social media at the time.
Heidi Klum Cannes outfits
Last year, Heidi graced the film festival in a strapless pink gown by Elie Saab. The garment evoked the shape of a corolla, crafted from what appeared to be a bouquet of pink petals cascading into a dramatic train, while its voluminous silhouette enhanced the grandeur.
For the 025 amfAR Cannes Gala, the supermodel stepped out in a strapless gown by Yara Shoemaker that featured a corseted bodice and sheer tulle skirt adorned with black appliqués. The garment was completed with a voluminous feathered train for a dramatic edge.
At the Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning screening, Heidi opted for a shimmering Elie Saab that featured iridescent detailing and sequin embellishments for a mermaid-inspired look. The garment featured an off-the-shoulder neckline with a figure-hugging silhouette. Heidi's makeup followed suit, with Linda Hay creating a black smoky eye tinged with silver sparkles and tightlined by thick eyeliner. Her complexion was left natural with a pinch of blush and a nude-stained lip.
Heidi often embraces daring silhouettes that show off her flawless figure. She previously opened up about ageing in an interview with Harper's Bazaar. "I feel 35. Also, I never overdid exercising and tried to be a little softer to my body and not beat it so hard," she shared.
"I am heavier than I was before–not intentionally, but when you're younger, your metabolism is different. When I was younger, I never tried to look the way I looked. Now, I’ve evolved a little bit, and I feel great in my skin–way more now than back then. Accepting these changes is just the course of life; I have love handles, but I'm not even worried about it."
