It's been an emotional month for parents, who have been reminded that their kids are growing up fast as they watch them graduate from college, and celebrity parents are no exception.
May has seen several celebrities' children walk the stage at their respective colleges to accept their diplomas, cheered on by their famous families.
Angelina Jolie, Kate Hudson, Reese Witherspoon, and more proudly watched on as their kids closed the chapter on the last four years of their lives, with many marking the milestone moment with emotional social media posts.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's daughter, Zahara, was part of Spelman College in Atlanta's graduating class of 2026, walking up to receive her diploma on May 17. Zahara graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and was listed as "Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt" on the commencement program; however, she was called to the stage as "Zahara Marley Jolie," effectively confirming what was widely known, that she had dropped her father's last name.

Christy Turlington and Ed Burns' daughter, Grace, graduated from New York University Gallatin School of Individualized Study on May 15, too. "What a week - and what a milestone. As a mother and as a parent, this moment feels profound," Christy penned on Instagram.
"So many hopes and dreams for my firstborn are unfolding far sooner than I ever imagined. There's a saying: educate a girl and you educate a nation. That's a powerful responsibility. Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe reunited on May 14 to celebrate their son, Deacon Phillippe, who graduated from New York University's prestigious Tisch School of the Arts, where he majored in music.
"After four years of hard work, long days, endless papers and classes, working with the greatest teachers and making new friends... My wonderful son graduated from @nyutisch!" the Legally Blonde star wrote on Instagram. "I'm so proud of you @deaconphillippe!"
