Zendaya just proved that the 'naked' dress still reigns supreme when it comes to red-carpet dressing. The actress put a sultry twist on her sartorial agenda as she stepped out for a Spider-Man fan event in Amsterdam on June 17.
Styled by Law Roach, Zendaya wore a sheer black mini dress courtesy of Alexander McQueen. The high-neck mesh gown was adorned with intricate silver floral embroidery and featured a dramatic ruffled hem, cut short at the front and cascading longer at the back.
For a daring twist, the dress was layered beneath a gray wool coat featuring a collarless silhouette, dramatic mini train and flared silk sleeves, adding an unexpected touch of tailoring to the look. Zendaya accessorized with black pointed-toe pumps and jewelry from STÉFÈRE.
Zendaya's brunette locks were slicked back into a sleek pixie look while her makeup oozed glam, courtesy of a smoky eye and a glossy lip.
At its core, the 'naked' dress trend is defined by its barely-there materials, sheer mesh, metallic knits, chainmail, lace, and airy organza all play a part in its ethereal appeal.
Zendaya's press tour outfits
Zendaya has been busy serving up a fashion marathon with her press tour looks for Spider-Man: Brand New Day. For a photo call in Madrid, she rocked a monochromatic Christian Cowanfall 2026 dress. The garment boasted a corseted bodice with an asymmetric silk trim adorned with fringe detailing. The look was completed with black So Kate pumps from Christian Louboutin.
The actress embraced method dressing for a photo call in Amsterdam this week. She rocked a look plucked from Louis Vuitton's cruise 2027 collection by Nicolas Guesquière. It featured a military-inspired structured jacket that was detailed with a high collar, sharp collars and accented with white diagonal striping. The garment was styled with a red leather mini skirt.
Zendaya and her co-star, Tom Holland, got engaged over the 2024 holiday season, with the actor proposing with a $500,000 five-carat oval-shaped diamond ring set in 18k white and yellow gold by London-based designer Jessica McCormack.
The couple's appearance in Madrid marked their first red carpet together in five years. Their last joint appearance was at the world premiere of their third Spider-Man film together, Spider-Man: No Way Home, in December 2021.
The pair first met on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2016 and went on to confirm their relationship in 2021.
