Heidi Klum may already boast marital status, but that did not stop her from indulging in a little bit of dress-up fun. The supermodel appeared on the latest episode of Project Runway Season 22 dressed in a stunning wedding dress.
The white gown featured a plunging neckline with a figure-hugging silhouette. Rather than being adorned with embellishments, the dress simply featured timeless lace embroidery for a clean finish. The bridal number was styled with a sheer veil detailed with intricate silver sequins on the edges and a pale pink bouquet.
Heidi's luscious locks were left down in voluminous curls while her makeup oozed soft glam, courtesy of a smoky eye and a nude lip.
Following the episode, the German supermodel took to Instagram to share a series of photographs of the wedding dress. "We said YES … to our next challenge @csiriano @projectrunway," Heidi penned in the caption.
Heidi Klum's marriages and current husband
Heidi was first married to celebrity hairstylist Ric Pipino in 1997, followed by a seven-year marriage to British singer Seal. However, her relationship with Tom Kaulitz offered her a "clean slate".
The couple, who tied the knot back in 2019, have a 16-year age difference that has frequently been met with public scrutiny. "When our door closes at home, I don't really care so much what happens around us," Heidi told People. "'I've learned things from my husband that I didn't know I was capable of doing."
"I'm 50 and no longer 20. I’m not a young girl who hasn’t experienced anything yet or has no idea about life. Time won’t stand still for me, and Tom will never catch up with me. I’ll always be 16 years older, and I’m aware of that," she shared with Glamour Germany.
"Maybe it will be a problem for me in 10 years’ time, maybe he won't like it then," she remarked. "In 20 years, I’ll be 70. I usually plan for the future – but with my husband, I live in the here and now."
Heidi opened up about her relationship in an interview with People last year. She shared that she had no intention of tying the knot once more and almost didn't go out the evening she met her husband. "I really wanted to stay home," she recalled. "But then I gave myself a little kick in the butt."
The German supermodel's attendance at a friend's party turned into "the sliding door moment" of her life. Heidi confessed that it was challenging not to carry emotional baggage from her past relationships into her new one – until Tom firmly drew the line. "At first I wanted to [project] what I had learned from different men I had been with… like 'Ooh, this reminds me of something that happened, is that a flag?'"' she admitted.
Tom gave his partner an ultimatum early on in their relationship that allowed their romance to develop respectfully. Heidi recalled her husband having said: "Don't do this to me, because I'm not this person, I'm not that person. Scratch everything. I have to have a fair chance."
