Kai Trump admits she's not eaten in 'days' following emotional college move

President Donald Trump's granddaughter, Kai Trump, has opened up about struggling to adjust to college life as she began her first week at the University of Miami. The 19-year-old, who is in her freshman year, documented her experience in a new video shared on her YouTube channel. 

In the vlog, Kai filmed herself driving home from the golf course the day she left her home in Jupiter, Florida, for school. "It's just really sad that I have to say goodbye to everyone today," she said with tears in her eyes.

"I'm not a very emotional person at all, so this is like really weird for me to cry, I've only cried a few times. I think knowing that I have to say goodbye to everyone tonight really, really sucks."

She continued: "I don't have to say goodbye to my mom tomorrow, but [saying goodbye to] everybody else [tonight] is sad. I'm struggling right now, just thinking about it." However, Kai added that she was "excited" for her next chapter but "emotional" about it.

Later in the video, Kai showed off her new Miami apartment and documented her first week attending golf practice and class. Kai's friend, Emma, visited her apartment and brought the teen lots of frozen food, as she shared that she "hadn't eaten in three days."

"It's all pre-cooked so she doesn't have to do anything crazy," said Emma. "She's living off of diet sodas, so I got her fruit and prosciutto and we got her some pasta and bread and stuff, like basic foods, she's basically living off of diet soda."

Kai's first week at college was cut short as she was forced to return home after suffering from Strep throat. "I got sick with Strep on Wednesday, my first week of school," she shared. "I came all the way back to Jupiter because I was so sick I needed my mom to nurse me back to health."

Kai is one out of five of Vanessa and Donald Trump Jr.'s children. The couple tied the knot back in 2005 and share Kai Madison, Donald Trump III, Tristan Milos, Spencer Frederick, and Chloe Sophia. The pair divorced in 2018, but continue to amicably co-parent their kids.

The teen is a golf enthusiast and has been playing the sport for over 13 years. "Golf has always been a massive part of my life and is my biggest passion. I always aspire to be a leader and a positive figure on and off the golf course," she previously shared.
