Former Disney Channel star Bobb'e J. Thompson has been sentenced to 30 months in federal prison after pleading guilty to illegally possessing a firearm.
The 30-year-old actor, best known for playing wisecracking youngster Stanley on That's So Raven, received the sentence in Sioux City, Iowa, after pleading guilty in April to possession of a firearm by a felon. He will also serve three years of supervised release following his prison term.
According to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Iowa, Bobb'e's latest legal trouble began on September 22, 2025, when law enforcement spotted a vehicle he was driving travelling at 104mph in a 70mph zone in Cerro Gordo County.

Officers also reported smelling marijuana coming from the car. During a subsequent search, authorities found a backpack belonging to the former child star containing multiple bags of dispensary-bought marijuana and a fully loaded .40-caliber handgun with a 15-round magazine and a round in the chamber.
The firearm had previously been reported stolen from a vehicle in Kansas City, Missouri.
© WireImageThe federal case is not Bobb'e's first brush with the law. According to prosecutors, his criminal history includes a 2020 conviction for battery with serious bodily injury as well as a 2020 conviction for assault with force, possibly resulting in great bodily injury.
He was later convicted of prohibited possession of a firearm in 2022. As a convicted felon, he was prohibited from possessing the gun discovered during the 2025 traffic stop.
U.S. District Court Judge Leonard T. Strand sentenced Bobb'e to 30 months behind bars, and the actor is currently being held in U.S. Marshals custody while awaiting transport to a federal prison. There is no parole in the federal prison system.
