Michael Dell has shown his support for his wife Susan after she became the subject of debate following their recent White House appearance.
The technology billionaire, 61, shared messages defending Susan, 62, after photographs and footage of the couple's visit prompted personal remarks about her looks.
The pair had travelled to Washington to discuss their $6.25 billion pledge to children's investment accounts. But as clips circulated online, attention turned to Susan's appearance, prompting supporters to speak out and Michael to amplify their words.
Michael Dell shares messages defending wife Susan
Michael shared posts from people urging others to leave his wife alone, including parents and grandparents who said their families had benefited from the couple's contribution.
One supporter described discovering that both of their sons had received $250 and said the gesture had inspired them to support the Dells.
Another wrote: "My grandson got 250 dollars in his Trump account from Susan Dell. Please leave that woman alone."
"The Dell family gave 7 billion dollars directly to American children. And instead of gratitude, there's much discussion of a 62 year old woman's looks," conservative Mike Cernovich wrote on X.
Michael shared the supportive messages and responded with emojis expressing thanks. His response came through those posts, rather than a lengthy personal statement addressing the criticism.
Eric Trump also defended the couple on X, condemning the attacks and pointing to the scale of their charitable commitment.
Michael subsequently shared children's thank-you letters, bringing attention back to the young people the initiative was designed to help.
Susan Dell's White House appearance
Susan and Michael appeared in the Oval Office on Wednesday, 7 October, to discuss their contribution to Trump Accounts.
Their pledge, announced in December 2025, was intended to provide $250 each for 25 million children. At the event, Michael said 10 million accounts had been funded, with the remainder expected by the end of that week.
Susan spoke about letters from children, parents and grandparents that had moved the couple. Some young recipients, she explained, hoped to become nurses, doctors, engineers or start businesses of their own.
She also described the importance of children knowing that someone believed in their future, alongside the financial contribution itself.
Michael and Susan Dell's 37-year marriage
The couple's public appearance came shortly before their 37th wedding anniversary.
They met on a blind date in Austin in February 1988 and married in October 1989. Together, they have four children: daughters Alexa, Kira and Juliette, and son Zachary.
Susan has built her own career alongside her husband's technology business, founding three fashion labels, including luxury brand Phi. An accomplished athlete, she has also competed in marathons, triathlons and the Ironman World Championships in Hawaii.
The couple established the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation in 1999, with Susan serving as chair and helping guide its work in education, healthcare and support for families.
On their official website, Susan explains the commitment behind their philanthropy: "We believe giving is the most important thing we will do in our lives."
