STARS SHIMMER AS DISCO FEVER HITS LA

15 MAY 2006

Golden girls Nicole Richie and Lindsay Lohan showed off their model looks as they took part in a disco-themed fashion show on Friday. The glamorous pair shimmied down the runway in front of an equally sparkling A-list crowd at a fundraiser for multiple sclerosis.

Hand in hand and sporting this season's short hemlines, the duo made a glittering appearance at the charity bash in LA. Modelling is becoming second nature for Nicole and Lindsay who have both appeared in high-profile advertising campaigns. The Mean Girls star and new face of Versace looked fabulous in her daring white mini dress and gold heels while her Simple Life pal, who has fronted campaigns for Jimmy Choo, showed off a healthy new silhouette in a disco-ball style frock.

Also getting into the spirit were disco divas Brooke Shields, who turned up in a huge black afro wig, and singer Natalie Cole who performed in a colourful Eighties ensemble and a funky white hairpiece.

In contrast, fellow participants Sharon and Kelly Osbourne went for unusually understated chic. Mum and daughter had opted for sophisticated black dresses and matching make-up in soft coral tones.

The VIP fundraiser attracted a host of charitable stars including rocker Rod Stewart and family and Nicole's former gal pal Paris Hilton.
